Social Media Marketing for A Beautiful Day NZ

Breaking into New Zealand’s competitive curtain market during a housing downturn and cost-of-living crisis was always going to be a challenge. With strong competition from established local brands, A Beautiful Day NZ needed a social media strategy to connect with Kiwi homeowners.

We developed a social media presence designed to introduce A Beautiful Day NZ to the Aotearoa market. Despite limited content and other constraints, we recommended actionable strategies, including influencer collaborations and landing page optimizations, to maximize engagement.

These efforts began building recognition and trust, and by the end of our collaboration, the influencer partnerships were yielding fantastic results. This project showcased the impact of strategic planning, creative execution, and data-driven adjustments for a brand entering a new market.

My contributions to this project were performed during my contract with Wonderlab.

The Goal?

Create an online brand through social media content creation. Establishing a new market player, and creating brand awareness while establishing a foundation of trust.

The Process?

After the team at Wonderlab extended the minimal brand elements for A Beautiful Day NZ, I got to work on establishing a social media content strategy and weekly plan. We curated a collection of existing, new and stock content to create an identity that felt native to New Zealand, while positioning the brand as a supplier of elegant, quality & and hand-crafted curtains. The creative challenge was to consistently refresh the content while maximising the impact of the limited assets available, which included image carousels, slideshows, and editing reels. During this time, we also made recommendations on how best to optimise their website for conversions, quickly identifying the importance of free samples, testimonials and discount codes to establish trust. Analysing the homepage, right through to the cart process.
